Anita Veronia Kathleen Hull Andrews, 77, of Valdese, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 following a period of declining health.

Anita was born July 6, 1948 in Cleveland County, a daughter of the late Belo and Leonia Jones Hull. She loved to sew and made many quilts to donate to a variety of individuals and organizations for those in need. She was a thrift store enthusiast and puzzle aficionado with a generous heart. Anita never was one to sit still, and she was active at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, serving in the WMU, choir, and quilting blankets for the new babies.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by a sister, Revonda Hull Mace.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Michael Andrews (Dawn) and Shari Wood; grandchildren, Hillary Clark, Tyler Andrews, Spencer Hefner, and Sierra Hefner; greatgrandchildren, Joseph Andrews and another one the way very soon; siblings, Naomi Propst (Mitchell) and David Hull; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 11 AM at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Collins officiating. Interment will take place at Olive Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Casar.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 AM to 11 AM at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff, doctors and nurses and everyone who helped, at UNC Health Blue Ridge of Morganton for the excellent care she received.
