Anthony Bryan Self

Anthony Bryan Self, 49, of Hildebran, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025 following a period of declining health.

Bryan was born November 2, 1975 in Catawba County to Rita Mathis Self and the late Mark Self. He was a member of Zion Road Baptist Church and worked as a butcher. Bryan’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was a loving husband, father, and a proud grandfather. Those who knew Bryan will remember his gentle heart, the way he loved deeply, and how he always put his family first. His legacy of faith, love, and strength will live on in each life he touched.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Melinda Pack Self; daughters, Bridget and husband Brian, and Katie; son, Mark and wife Nykkole; granddaughters, Alyssa and Delilah; grandsons, Anthony and Liam; and siblings, Timothy Self, Pamela Greene, Angie Self.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Pastor Micah Piercy officiating. Burial will take place at Lower Yellow Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Service.
