Baerbel Klingler (Leinemann), age 84, of Hickory, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, surrounded by love.
Born on September 23, 1941, in Lehrte, Germany, to Adele Jordan and Wilhelm Leinemann, she is preceded in death by her two brothers, Manfred and Wilhelm, and is survived by her two sisters, Christa Risser (Daniel) and Marianne Umlauf. Baerbel carried the strength and grace of her heritage throughout her life. She leaves behind a legacy carried forward by her children, Axel Klingler, Heidi Beliveau, Chastity Ward, and grandchildren, Santana Beliveau, Bryson Beliveau, Mikah Anderson, Delicia England, Madden Ward and great grandson, Dallas Beliveau. Her constant companion, Teddy Bear was never far from her side, a quiet comfort in her later years.
Baerbel’s life was rich with simple joys, tending her garden, baking, skiing down snowy slopes, playing tennis, and exploring new places, but her greatest happiness came from being with her family and friends. She generously gave her time and heart, volunteering for over five years at Carolina Caring, offering compassion to others even in their most difficult moments.
She was a woman of quiet strength, kindness, and deep empathy. Her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but her spirit lives on in the lives she touched and the love she gave.
To honor her wishes, there will be a celebration of life at a later date.
