Banie Noel

Banie Sue Noel, 79, passed away on Monday September 22, 2025, at UNC Blueridge, Morganton, after a period of declining health.

Mrs. Noel was born June 23, 1946 in Davie W.VA, a daughter of the late Winford Herman and Emily Fruia Thomas.

Sue was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed being an active member of the Rock Church in Morganton, as long as her health would permit.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, Larry Carroll, James Aikers, Kenny Carroll Stanley Carroll and daughter Michella Blankenship.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 30 years, Stoney Noel of the home and sons, Randy Godfrey and wife Tammy of Bluefield, WV, Rodney Carroll of Norcorss, Va. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jonathan Akens, Anna Carroll Keffer, Jimmy Carroll and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

At her request there will be a service of remembrance at a later date.
