Mrs. Barbara Ann Henery Anderson, 71, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Frye Regional Medical Center, following a period of declining health.

Barbara was born on October 19, 1954, in Mansfield, OH to the late John Henery and Ilene Spiess Henery. She was a retired CNA, specializing in at home healthcare, and was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Morganton. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and caregiver to her family, who will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Henery, a sister, Linda Henery, granddaughter, Dianna Anderson and great grandson, Remy Anderson.

Surviving is her beloved husband, Daniel “Danny” Anderson of the home, her four children; Daniel Anderson Jr. and wife May of Oxon Hill, MD, Samuel Anderson and wife Wendy of Morganton, Timothy Anderson of Morganton and Dawnna Anderson of Drexel. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; Starla Bristol, Felix Berry, Christopher Berry, Nathaniel Reece, Beth Martin, Dakota Anderson, McKenzie Anderson and Raby Bayless, and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 11:00 A.M in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, with Pastor David Bridges officiating.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
