Mr. Bernard Louis Weinberg, Jr, 62, of Hickory, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, at his residence.

Bernard was born on July 21, 1963, in Garden City, MI, to the late Bernard Louis Weinberg, Sr., and Janet Dixon Conley. He was an Air Force veteran and was devoted to the flag and his country. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and was one of Dale Earnhardt's biggest fans. Bernard also enjoyed listening to music, especially classic country and rock, with his best friend Eric and playing Wii Bowling. Metallica was his favorite band. He also enjoyed collectibles, including Dale Earhardt and Dale Jr. memorabilia, Red Wings memorabilia and commemorative coins. Along with his family he will be dearly missed by his dogs, Lars, Layla, Luna, Axl and Sköll, and his cat Matilda.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Leo Weinberg.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Regina Corrado Weinberg of the home, and seven children; Bernard Louis Weinberg III (Catrina) of Milford, IN, Amber Nicole Biven (Mike) of Marion, IN, Erica Marie Padgett (David) of Eastpointe, MI, Alana Maria Padgett (Rodney) of Lincolnton, NC, Daniel Corrado Padgett (Tiffany) of Sylva, NC, Philomena Regina Weinberg (Bryan) of Drexel, NC and Gabriel Abraham Weinberg of Hickory, NC. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren: Elyse, Braxton, Josie, Nolan, Michael Jr., Jordan, Jazmyn, Gabriel, Samuel, Brentley, Vito, Oakley, Salvator, Dexter and Beatrice, and his siblings, Kim Adkins (Gary), Tammie Weinberg, Michael Weinberg, Steven Weinberg and Larry Weinberg (Lori).

A private memorial service will be held by Bernards family and friends at a later date.
