Bette Ann Racicot

Bette Ann Peters Racicot, 87, of Valdese, passed away on Saturday October 18, 2025, at Carolina Caring Hospice, Newton, after a period of declining health.

Bette was born July 11, 1938, in Franklin County, Mass. A daughter of the late Edward C. Peters and Marion Louise Guyette Newton. She retired as Receptionist and Admission Clerk from Valdese General Hosp. She was a member of the Christ Church of the Foothills.

Surviving are her partner, Connie Rodgers of the home, children, Sherry Southern, Linda Downing, Steve Racicot and Deborah Radley, step-father, Frank Newton, siblings, Donnie Newton, Richard Newton and Gail O’Shaughnessy. Also surviving are a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
