Betty Ann Pritchard Stewart

Betty Ann Pritchard Stewart, 83, of Drexel passed on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 following a period of declining health.

Betty was born August 1, 1942 in Burke County to the late Paul C. Pritchard and Bessie Williams Pritchard. She loved to garden (having a green thumb and could grow anything), bake, and listening to windchimes.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Stewart; sons, Ricky Hastings, and Aaron Hastings; brothers, Jack Pritchard, Paul Pritchard, Stanley Pritchard, Robert Pritchard, Jerry Pritchard, and Ned Pritchard; and sister, Alice Sue Nichols.

She is survived by her son, Eric “Bill” Hastings; grandchildren, Holly Cooke and husband Jimi, Shannon Hastings, Erica Hastings (Justin Antley), Matthew Hastings, Jeremy Hastings, and Cierra Hastings; great grandchildren, Ben, Hunter, Zachariah, Ethan, Arielle, Emily, Nevaeh, Bryson, Landon; great great grandchildren, Harper, Odin, Björn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A joint memorial service will be held for Betty and her son Eric "Bill" Hastings (Bill passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025) on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service. The family will receive friends following the service.
