Mr. Blair Douglas Seagraves, 83, of Drexel, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Amorem Hospice of Valdese, following a period of declining health.

Blair was born on June 12, 1942, in Gaston County to the late Ambra Jewel Seagraves and Ruby Evelyn Peeler. He was formerly employed in the trucking and shipping industry and was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Valdese. He loved his church and spending time with his family, enjoyed fishing and reading western novels, and playing video games with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Shelby Jean Seagraves, and two brothers, Roger Dale Seagraves and Clifford Wayne Seagraves.

Surviving are his four children, John Seagraves and wife Laura of Valdese, Windy Thompson and husband Will of Catawba, Jessica Earley and husband Raymond of Drexel, and Scott Seagraves and wife Jennifer of Ponca City, OK. Also surviving are two sisters, Margaret Holcombe and husband Bill, and LaJune Brown, sixteen grandchildren: Travis Seagraves and wife Erin, Whitney Turner, Matthew Smith and fiancé Brittany, Marcus Smith and wife Inita, Leanna Seagraves and fiancé Michael Lowman, Emma Seagraves, Shelby Seagraves, Amber Seagraves, Steven Seagraves, April Earley, Deonte Earley, Christian Earley, Khaleesi Earley, Athena Earley, Joshua Seagraves and Caleb Seagraves and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Mr. Seagraves will be held and announced at a later date.
