Mrs. Rebecca “Becky” Grace Carver Stout, 62, of Hickory, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Carolina Caring Hospice House following a period of declining health.

Becky was born June 15, 1963 in Caldwell County to the late James A. Carver and Essie Mae Hudson Carver.

Mrs. Stout was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Granite Falls. She loved life and her family. She always wore a smile and loved to laugh.

She received her GED from Catawba Valley Community College and worked retail for Walmart in Granite Falls for nineteen years. She loved her coworkers and her job.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Stout; a brother, James “Andy” Carver, Jr.; and a sister, Mary Ellen Triplett.

Survivors include one daughter, Michelle Slater of Hickory; four sisters, Faye Waters of Hudson, Kathy Dupre (Gerry) of Hudson, Pauline Wise (Paul) of Hickory, and Eunice “Ann” Carver of Lenoir; one grandson, Max Blumke; one granddaughter, Mya Samson of Charlotte; one great grandson, Finley Blumke; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at a later date at Friendship Baptist Church on 4676 Horseshoe Bend Rd., Hudson, NC, 28638 with Pastor John Barnhardt officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Carolina Caring Hospice House, 7473 Sherrills Ford Rd., Suite A, Sherrills Ford, NC 28673.
