Brenda Kay Whisnant

Brenda Kay Whisnant, 71, of Drexel, went to her Heavenly Home on Friday October 3, 2025, at UNC Blueridge Hospital, with her loving family by her side.

Mrs. Whisnant was born February 3, 1954, in Flint, Mich., a daughter of Oris Mills Page and the late Bobby Ward. She was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother Gary Ward and sister-in-law Karen Ward.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 50 years, Lee Whisnant of the home, a son, Allen M. Whisnant (Janee Whisnant), a daughter, Christina Whisnant (Jerry Bumgarner), her mother, Oris Page a brother, Danny Ward (Jean) and a sister, Pamela McLean (Steve). Also surviving are the apple of her eye, her granddaughters, Lillian and Miranda Whisnant.

A Services of Celebration for Brenda Kay Whisnant will be held at 4:00 P.M. Monday October 6, 2025, at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Tim Hodge officiating. Interment will follow in the Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3 until 4:00 P.M. Monday at Trinity Baptist Church.
