Carolyn Elizabeth Street Abee Blankenship, 76, of Lenoir, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026 at Atrium Health CMC Main following a period of declining health.

Carolyn was born June 14, 1949 in Burke County, a daughter of the late S.D. and Ruby Bowman Street. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and enjoy life. She could often be heard singing. She loved her family more than anything, and church was dear to her heart.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her first husband, Carl Abee; a son, Christopher Abee; brother, Samuel Street; and infant brother, Blaine Street.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Gary “Randy” Blankenship; son, Samuel Abee (Elizabeth); five grandchildren, Josiah Abee (Brianna), Deborah Abee, Isaac Abee, Daniel Abee, and Faith Abee; stepchildren, Joseph Blankenship and Jacoby Blankenship; and several extended family members.

A Memorial Service will be held at Heritage Funeral Service at a later date. Interment will follow the service at Burke Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Wadesboro Church of God 809 N Greene St, Wadesboro, NC 28170.
