Chester Albert Berry

Chester Albert Berry, 73, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Thursday August 20, 2026, at his residence, after a period of declining health.

Mr. Berry was born November 21, 1952, in Burke County, a son of the late Albert and Gladys Lowman Berry. He retired from Standard Distributors as an area supervisor. Chester loved the outdoors and was a member of the Silver Tip Hunting Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Joshua Berry.

Those left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Johanna Bowman and husband Micheal of Connelly Springs, Chelsey Richardson and husband Jason of Statesville, Cayley Rozzelle of Conover, a sister, Sharon Baker of Connelly Springs and his longtime companion, Lee London of Hickory. Also surviving are the apples of his eyes, his grandchildren, Madison Bowman, Ryland Bowman, Cheston Berry Church, Greyson Berry Church, Zeke Rozzelle, Carly Richardson and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins who he was very close to.

A Service of Celebration will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday August 29, 2026, at First Baptist Church Hildebran, with Rev. Dr. Cory Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Warlick’s Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at First Baptist Church Hildebran.
