Christine Nix

Mrs. Christine Nix, 80, of Drexel, passed away on Thursday July 24, 2025, at UNC Healthcare, Blueridge, after a period of declining health.

Mrs. Nix was born March 3, 1945, in Burke County, a daughter of the late Charles Bradford and Ollie Stone Nix. Christine was retired from the dietary department of Autumn Care Nursing Center after seventeen years of faithful employment. She was a former member of the Drexel First Baptist Church and for the last several years she enjoyed attending the services at The Cambridge House. Christine enjoyed reading, playing on her I-Pad and walking and caring on a conversation with her therapist. She was a friend to all, including the patients and employees of The Cambridge House where he has made her home for the last several years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by death by three brothers and two sisters.

Those left to cherish her memories are her nieces, Patricia Baker of Maggie Valley, NC, Connie Giosi (Don) of CoCo Beach, FL and a number of great nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday August 4, 2025, in the Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery, Morganton, NC with Rev. Danny Oakley officiating.
