Clifford Miles Duffus

Clifford Miles Duffus, 76, of Hickory, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Amorem Hospice of Burke following a period of declining health.

Clifford was born September 21, 1949 in Washington DC to the late John Duffus and Ella Miles Duffus. He served honorably in the United States Air Force. Clifford was a hard worker and owned his own flooring company, doing many jobs at Lenoir Rhyne University. He will be remembered as a gentleman and being well loved by all of his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, John E. Duffus; and sister, Blanch R. Duffus.

He is survived by his loving wife of thirty eight years, Linda Stone Duffus; stepchildren, Jennifer Newman and husband James, and William Corcoran; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Duffus; and sister, Mary Ann Duffus.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
