Clyde Ray Danner, Jr.

Clyde Ray Danner, Jr., 81, of Morganton, passed away on Saturday January 10, 2026, at UNC Healthcare Blue Ridge, Morganton, after a period of declining health.

Mr. Danner was born September 8, 1944, in Burke County, a son of the late Clyde Ray Danner, Sr. and Darlia Lail Danner. He was a jack of all trades in the construction business. He loved horses and spent many years raising and training them. His favorite past time was fishing-any body of water would do! His most important relationship was the one he had with his Heavenly Father, Jehovah God. He loved spending time in the Ministry, helping others to learn about Jehovah.

In his later years, he honed his skills as a true artisan. He crafted the most beautiful handmade Knifes from repurposed metals and antlers. He was known as Boney Ray at the flea markets and trade shows.

Surviving is his beloved wife of fifty three years, Susan Hart Danner of the home, a daughter, Kelly Simon and husband Brett of Morganton and his canine companion, Teddy.

At Clyde’s request, there will not be a service at this time.
