Dana Michelle Combs Bradshaw

Dana Michelle Combs Bradshaw, 48, of Hickory, passed away on Saturday June 28, 2025 at her residence.

Dana was born March 22, 1977 in Catawba County to Sheila Crowder Ward and the late David Lyn Combs. She enjoyed working as a behavior specialist at Catawba Rosenwald Education Center and was an avid Carolina Tarheel and Dallas Cowboy fan. Dana loved to go to the beach and sit by the ocean, listening to Darius Rucker; but most of all, she loved her family and was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. Dana was a woman of faith and loved the Lord.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jesse and Eula Crowder, and Joe and Anna Combs; uncle, Keith Combs, and cousin Kristie Crowder.

She is survived by her mother, Sheila Ward and husband Dennis; loving husband, Benjamin Bradshaw; daughters, Alexis Bradshaw and wife Nina Renders, and Callie Bradshaw; and brother, Michael Combs and wife Casey. Also surviving are her step-brothers, Derek Ward and wife Elisha, and Justin Ward, nieces, Philippa Combs and Parker Combs; uncle, Buddy Crowder and wife Pam; and Denise Rose and husband Jeff; and cousin Kaitlyn Crowder. 

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. Sam Crowe officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The family request everyone to wear a shade of blue in honor of Dana.
