Danny “Dan” Coy Shuping, 69, of Valdese, went to his Heavenly Home on Thursday, July 3, 2026 following a period of declining health.

Dan was born May 6, 1957 in Burke County, a son of the late James Coy and Pansy Zimmerman Shuping.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, who he was with for thirteen years, Melissa Shuping; siblings, Katherine Marie Shuping, Loree Shuping, Wayne Shuping (Angie), and Tim Shuping (Tammy); children, Danny lee Shuping, Victoria Shuping, and Travis Shuping; stepchildren, Rachel and Rebecca; thirteen grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a memorial service on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Heritage Pentecostal Church of Lenoir with Pastor Joe Hodges officiating.
