Danny Ray Young, 70, of Hildebran, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Atrium Health of Kings Mountain.

Danny was born November 5, 1955 in Burke County, a son of the late Virgil “Bill” and Beulah Freeman Young. He was never one to be still and always had at least one project going. He enjoyed gardening and wanted to be outside as much as possible. His favorite vacation was cruising. Danny loved to bowl, and he and Pam were part of several leagues. Most recently, they bowled at Pin Station in Newton with the Senior League. He had a passion for cooking and always tried to feed anyone he could. He loved people, and people loved him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by a son, Daniel Young.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of twenty-three years, Pamela “Pam” Parker Young; son, David Young; special daughters, Christy Baldwin (Jody) and Brooke Phillips; grandchildren, Travis Dawson Young, Taylor Ashley Young, and Macie Miller, and McKenzie Baldwin; three greatgrandchildren; a sister, Alverta Stevens; and a niece, Lori Butterfield (Steve).

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
