Mrs. Debbie “Shadow” Lynn Pierce, 59, of Morganton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

Debbie was born on September 16, 1966, in Elkhart, IN to Larry Douglas Pierce and the late Linda Delma Arms Pierce.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by two sons, Robbie Pierce and Michael Winegarnder Jr.

Survivors include her father, and three brothers, Doug Pierce and wife Jennifer of Valdese, Dallas Pierce of Spruce Pine, and Dennis Pierce and wife Elaine of Valdese. Also surviving are several grandchildren; Felicity, Tristan and Brooklyn Shiloh Pierce, Kendra Winegardner, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 3:00 P.M., in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, with Rev. Mark Smith officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 2:00-3:00 PM, one hour prior to the service, at Heritage Funeral Service.
