Dolly Ann Bradshaw

Mrs. Dolly Ann Brittain Bradshaw, 92, of Hickory, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at her residence.

Dolly was born on March 13, 1933, in Burke County to the late George Baxter Brittain and Ila Johnson Brittain. She was retired bookkeeper for Burke County Public Schools and was a longtime member of Wilkies Grove Baptist Church. Dolly loved being outdoors, especially working in her garden and doing her yard work,

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Fay Bradshaw, one son, Joey Bradshaw, and four siblings: Margaret Decker, Faye Vinay, Rhoda Paige and Arthur “Bud” Brittain.

Survivors include her two daughters, Beverly Pittman and husband Steve, of St. Augustine, FL, Veda Hollifield and husband Jeff of Hildebran, and a brother, Jack Brittain and wife Jane. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Bradley Pittman and wife Jennifer, Christopher Pittman and wife Rebba, and Derek Wycoff and wife Lindsey, five great-grandchildren, Landon, Sydney, Carl, Rowan and Eno, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Monday October 27, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Burke Memorial Park, with Rev. Thurman Roe and Rev. Chance Settle officiating.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
