Doris Mabrey Dellinger, 93, of Valdese, departed this life to her heavenly home on Monday September 21, 2026 at Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain following a period of declining health.

Doris was born on July 19, 1933 in Mecklenburg County, to the late Toye Mabrey and Nellie Hamrick Mabrey. She was employed by Robinson Hosiery Mill for many years, and was a member of Burns Memorial Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Eugene Dellinger; her infant son, Larry Ralph Dellinger; her brothers, John Mabrey, Horace Mabrey, Virgil Mabrey, and Bob Mabrey; her sisters, Ruby Robinson, Evelyn Hollifield and Peggy Dyson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Sue Winebarger and Judy Crum both of Valdese; her grandchildren, Donna Elliott and Chad Winebarger (Christi); her great-grandchildren, Kendra Elliott, Payton Winebarger, Laney Winebarger (Dylan Rhoney), and Bailey Winebarger; her sister, Kay Blanton; and her brother, Olin Mabrey.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 from 5:30-6:30 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.

A Memorial Service will follow at 6:30 P.M. Wednesday in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese, with Rev. Dwight Lowman officiating.
