Dorothy Louise Bradshaw

Dorothy (Dottie) Louise Bradshaw “Nana”, 66, of Valdese, passed away on Saturday December 20, 2025, at UNC Healthcare, Morganton.

Mrs. Bradshaw was born June 21, 1959, in Burke County, a daughter of the late Eugene Reid and Mildred Wycoff Reid. She was a member of Hildebran First Baptist Church and attended Thrive Church Morganton.

“Nana” was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an excellent homemaker whose life was centered around caring for her family. She found her greatest purpose of caring for those she loved and creating a home filled with warmth, comfort, and unconditional love. She had a nurturing spirit; she put the needs of others before her own. She listened without judgment, loved without conditions and her strength was steady and calm. Her love was something her family could always count on.

She adored the mountains, fishing, gardening and good home cooked meals. She especially cherished every moment with her grandchildren. She had a gift for making everyone feel at home.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Angie Cox, and her sister-in-law, Lynn Reid.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Randy Bradshaw of the home; two brothers, Jimmy Reid and Tracy Reid (Lori); two granddaughters, Kelcie (Michael) Collingwood and Allisha Cox (Isaiah); her grandson, Keith Richardson; her son-in-law, Donnie Cox (Susan); and her great-grandchildren, Waylon and Indie.

The family will receive friends from 10 until 11:00 AM Monday at Hildebran First Baptist Church.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11:00 AM Monday December 29, 2025, at Hildebran First Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Arndt officiating. With Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.
