Douglas Roy Bridges

Mr. Douglas Roy Bridges, 81, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Sunday July 20, 2025, at the Greens of Hickory Nursing Center.

Mr. Bridges was born October 30, 1943, in Burke County, a son of the late Posey and Mattie Mosteller Bridges. He was a member of the First Baptist Church Hildebran and was self-employed as a plumber. He was a hard worker and enjoyed helping others.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Edith Stiles Bridges of the home, a son Joey Bridges of the home, a sister, Fran Geer of Columbus, Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday July 23, 2025 in the Hildebran First Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ron Arndt and Rev. Dr. Cory Smith officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Hildebran First Baptist Church, 8831 Old Hwy 10, Hildebran, NC 28637.
