Eddie Deana Carswell

Eddie Deana Williams Carswell, 72, of Connelly Springs, went to her Heavenly Home Thursday November 27, 2025 with her loving family by her side.

Mrs. Carswell was born January 25, 1953, in Burke County, a daughter of the late John and Bell Etta Pearson Williams and foster parents the late Jack and Nancy Bost . She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, seamstress and homemaker. Eddie was an active member of Abee’s Chapel Baptist Church and a former employee of the Burke County School System in the dietary department.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Friday and a brother, Earl “Chucky” Williams and grandchild, Tyler Poole.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, David Ray Carswell, Sr., daughter, Kimberly Dawn Saulman (Jeff), a son, David Ray Carswell, Jr. (Alana), foster parents, Jack and Nancy Harris, sisters, Judy Putman (Larry), Lou Hogston (Rick), Darleen Williams, and brother, Charles Willilams. Also surviving are the apples of her eye, her grandchildren, Austin Shanan Messer (Nicole), Brooke Ashley Eliott (Hayes), Dustin Lee Messer (Kerrie), Jacob Avery Carswell, great-grandchildren, Kayden Shannan Messer, Carson Nichole Messer, Hudson Willy Messer, Holly Wren Messer and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Eddie Dean Carswell will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday November 30, 2025, at Abee’s Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Land officiating. Interment will follow the Abee’s Chapel Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 3:00 P.M. Sunday at Abee’s Chapel Baptist Church.
