Eric Charles Fleming, 57, of Hudson passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at UNC Caldwell Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Eric was born March 12, 1969 in Catawba County to Patricia Williams Wilson and the late Gary Charles Fleming. In his earlier years, he took pleasure in detailing cars and riding motorcycles. He was known for his ability to connect with anyone he encountered and found joy in helping others.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his grandmother, Louis Bolick; aunt, Sherry Reid; and uncle, and uncle, Mike Fleming.

He is survived by his wife of over twenty years, Melissa Barnes Fleming; daughters, Erica Fleming and Monica Fleming; stepchildren, Makayla Schuster and fiancée Josh Farris, and Carl Franklin States and wife Christen; grandchildren, Makenzie Smoot, Khloe Gadson, Josiah Wilder, Braxton Farris, Charles States, and Ryker Fleming (whom is due soon); and aunt, Cindy Fleming.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026 at 5:00 PM at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church.
