Mr. Floyd Marvin Huffman, 83, of Hickory, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Carolina Caring Hospice, following a period of declining health.

Floyd was born on October 4, 1942, in Catawba County, to the late Marvin Brady Huffman and Iona Louise Duncan Huffman. He was employed with Alba-Waldensian for 45 years as a dyehouse operator and was a veteran of the Army National Guard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy and a brother, Russell.

Surviving is his beloved wife, Billie Ann Huffman of the home, two daughters, Karen Berry and husband Jon, and Carol Moore, and one son, Scott Huffman and wife Tracy. Also surviving is a sister, Elaine Flemming, eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, with Rev. Mike Chandler officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Vale, NC, with military honors provided by the N.C. National Guard.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
