Fred Barnes, 75, of Hildebran, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2026 at Cambridge House following a period of declining health.

Fred was born November 7, 1951 in Lincoln County, a son of the late Robert E. Lee Barnes and Edith Moore Barnes.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by a son, Brian Alan Barnes; four brothers; and two sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Yvonne Barnes; daughter, Pamela Laws; son, Joshua Barnes; siblings, Carolyn Booth (Michael), Bobbie Jeanne Craig, Debra Tabor, David Barnes, and Clyde Barnes (Jantena); eleven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a special caregiver, Lisa Radford Lail; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a Gathering of Friends at a later date.
