Mrs. Geneva Loftis Nations, 82, of the Connelly Springs community, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
Geneva was born in the Alarka community of Swain County, NC on July 26, 1943, to the late Clarence Vernon (Bood) Loftis and Velma Paris Loftis.
Geneva married the love of her life, Roy Max Nations, on March 28, 1964. Together, they settled in the Connelly Springs community of North Carolina. Geneva and Max were blessed with two sons, Keith and Brian. She was a faithful Christian, that devoted her life to taking care of her family. Her devoted care extended to her grandkids, great grandkids and many nieces and nephews. Geneva loved to work in her flower gardens and took great pride in having a well-kept home and yard.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Max Nations, two brothers, Harold and Doyle Loftis, and a sister, Lillian Loftis.
Surviving are her two sons, Keith Nations and wife Terri, and Brian Nations and wife Tonya, and by her twin sister, Janette Bowers, brother, Cotton Loftis and wife Annette, and sisters in-law, Shirley Loftis, Shirley Mcgaha, Faye Nations and Brenda Nations. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Quintin Nations and wife Britny, Keisha Nations and husband Joshua, Brianna Nations and boyfriend Collin, Kaitlyn Nations and boyfriend Trey, and Justin Pyatte and fiancé Emily, and four great grandchildren: Granger Nations, Sawyer Nations, Annabelle Nations and Liam Pyatte.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Burke Memorial Park with Rev. E.J. Martin officiating.
