George Harley Foster

George Harley Foster, 86, of Hickory passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at his residence, following a period of declining health.

George was born November 17, 1938 to the late John Foster and Rebecca Louvellen Baker. He was retired from Century Furniture, served honorably in the United States Army and was a member of Cub Creek Baptist Church in North Wilkesboro. George was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Laura Roberts Foster.

He is survived by his daughters, Ellen Foster Walker, and Abby Young and husband Scott; grandchildren, Britney Ayers, Terry Ayers, Ashley Mortez and husband Brandon, Adam Young, Jacob Young and wife Maleah, and David Walker and wife Kelsey; and eleven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory in Valdese is assisting the family.
