George Eugene Huff

George Eugene Huff, 81, of Connelly Springs, departed this life to his heavenly home on Sunday July 5, 2026 at his residence following a period of declining health.

George was born on May 14, 1945 in Ashe County to the late Dewey Talmage Huff and Fannie Greer Huff. He was a loving husband and father with a one-of-a-kind sense of humor. He had the mindset and instincts of an engineer and all of the knowledge and wisdom from the school of hard knocks. He was an incredible man in every way and will be truly missed by all who knew him well.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Bob Huff, Claude Huff, Jack Huff, Burl Huff, Kyle Huff, Earl Huff; and two sisters, Lillian Huff and Ruth Huff Baker.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Libby Haliburton Huff of the home; one son, Jeremy E. Huff; and one brother, Jimmy D. Huff of North Wilkesboro.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday July 7, 2026 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.

A Funeral Service will follow at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese, with Rev. Marvin Wiley officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
