Glenn Carroll Pruette of Vale, North Carolina went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 28,2026, NC at the age of 86 after a period of declining health.

Born March 14th, 1940 in Connelly Springs, North Carolina to Perry and Flavie Pruette. Glenn was a member of Westside Baptist Church, Newton and known for his love of woodworking and fishing. Glenn served honorably in the United States Army National Guard. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Angela Pruette, three brothers, Larry, Revis and Richard; and one sister, Joyce. As well as two wives who preceded him in death, Hazel Hull and Joyce Edwards. Glenn was a member of Westside Baptist Church, Newton and known for his love of woodworking and fishing.

He is survived by one sister, Retha Hefner (James), of Granite Falls and one brother, Wayne (Dare), of Lenoir. He is also survived by his four children – Sandra Pruette of Icard; Debbie Tomlinson (Steve) of Connelly Springs; Sherri Vanderpool of Osage Beach, Missouri; and Steven Pruette of Newton. In addition, he is survived by his 11 grandchildren – Jessica Lowe (Adam), Joshua Maltry (Chelsea), Seth Tomlinson, Evan Tomlinson (Sierra), Drew Glazebrooks (Sarah), Matthew Ford (Tess), Sara Lutjen (Kevin), Michelle Robbins, Thomas Pruette (Rebecca), Nicholas Pruette, Steven Pruette, along with 17 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will take place at Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese, North Carolina with Reverend James Hefner officiating. His internment will be at Burke Memorial Park, Morganton, NC.
