Harold Ray Zimmerman

Harold Ray Zimmerman, 74, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Wednesday July 23, 2025, at his residence after a period of declining health.

Harold was born April 7, 1951, in Roxboro, NC, a son of the late Ray and Theresa O’Briant Zimmerman. He was a longtime employee of Joan Fabrics in Hickory and enjoyed hiking, gardening and spending time with his beloved dog L.D. and cat T.Z.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Carole Zimmerman of Maryland and Deborah Morrison of Asheville, brothers in law Dick Hoehn and Clarke Morrison. Also surviving are his nieces, Kristin Sizemore of Virginia, Megan Green and Charlotte Morrison, of Georgia.

A private memorial service is planned for a later date.

Memorials may be made to Friends for Animals, the Humane society of Burke County or the American Cancer Society.
