Howard Wayne Dyson

Mr. Howard Wayne Dyson, 84, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Friday August 8, 2025, at the Greens of Hickory, Viewmont, after a period of declining health.

Mr. Dyson was born May 13, 1941, in Caldwell County, a son of the late William Waddell and Ada Cook Dyson. He was a faithful member of the St. Johns Baptist Church and retired as a truck driver from Brinkley Lumber Co. Wayne enjoyed camping and spending time with his family and friends. He was always able to carry on a conversation with anyone he met. Wayne was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Stamey Dyson and a son, Harold Dean Dyson and granddaughter, Alisha Farr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Rebecca Tony and his son, Steve Dyson and wife Suzanne and daughter-in-law, Debbie Dyson. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Chris Toney and wife Charli, Amber Poarch and husband Carson, Bryan Dyson, Mason Moore and Jessie Moore; great grandchildren; Ryleigh Toney, Landon Toney, Hadley Poarch, Santiago Mancio and Amelia Farr and sister-in-law, Betty Stamey as well as a numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services for Howard Wayne Dyson will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday August 13, 2025, in St John’s Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tony Dyson officiating.

The family would like to thank the TLC & Comfort Keepers for all the care given to our dad over the last year and half.
