Imogene Buchanan Williams, 80, of Valdese, went to her Heavenly Home on Thursday February 5, 2026, at Amorem, Burke Hospice, after a period of declining health.

Imogene was born on August 17, 1945, in Onslow County, NC. A daughter of the late David and Nannie Mae Thomas Buchanan. She was a faithful and active member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Valdese, serving with the WMU, as a dedicated choir member, Sunday School teacher, and numerous other activities of the church. She was always available when needed. Imogene will be remembered for her work as a childcare worker for many years at Valdese First Baptist Church Daycare.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Williams.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Tim Williams (Doris), Randy Williams (Pam), and a grandson, Cody Williams.

Funeral Services for Imogene Williams will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, February 9, 2026, at Mount Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 8, 2026 from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese.
