Mrs. Jean- Marie Camerlengo Cole, 85, of Valdese, entered her eternal home, on Monday, April 13, 2026, at her residence following a period of declining health.

Jean was born on September 29, 1940, in Pittsfield, MA, to the late John Michael Camerlengo and Alice Churchill Camerlengo. She was a member of Morganton Baptist Church, and was a retired office administrator, working for the U.S. Government, and later retiring from Alba-Waldensian in the same role. Jean then went on to become a homeschool teacher as well. She was also a troop leader and administrator for the Girls Scouts of America for over 40 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Michael Camerlengo, Jr.

Surviving is her beloved husband, Thomas W. Cole of the home in Valdese, four children, Sara-Jean Calisti, Michelle Auton, Tommy Ullring and Linda Martin. Also surviving are four sisters: Joanna Jackson, Anita Novaris, Mary Clement and Carol Ruggiero, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Allie and Anthony.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. at the Morganton Baptist Church, with Pastor Dan Qurollo officiating. Entombment will follow at the Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. at the Morganton Baptist Church.
