Jeremy Ozias Carswell

Jeremy Ozias Carswell, 49, of Hickory, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Atrium Health, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, following an accident on September 12th from which he never recovered

Jeremy was born on December 6, 1975 in Mobile, Alabama, a son of Rolanda Hildebrand Carswell and the late Lawrence Ray Carswell. He was a free-spirit who loved to come and go at the drop of a hat. He loved to be outdoors in the mountains and ride his bicycle. He had a big, caring heart and will be missed by many that loved him.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in passing by his beloved grandmother, Bertha Hildebrand, and his special uncle, Sam.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Justin Carswell; mother, Rolanda Carswell; brother, Joshua Carswell and wife Lora; aunts, Flora Knox and Diane Cook; one niece; six nephews; and many cousins.

A Receiving of Friends will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 4 PM to 5 PM at Heritage Funeral Service.
