Mr. Jerry Allen Williams, 85, of Valdese, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at his residence.
Jerry was born on June 10, 1940, in Burke County to the late James Harley Williams and Naomi Sigmon Willams. He retired after 42 years of military service, serving in the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Army and the N.C. National Guard. Jerry was a current member of Summit Community Church in Morganton and also a former member and past president of the Valdese Lions Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn McFalls Williams, three sisters, Martha Jo Powell, Colene Cannon and Frances Powell, and one brother, Elmer Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Williams of the home, one son, Richard Williams and wife Alison of Hickory, two daughters, Debora Lynne Anderson of Morganton, and Amanda Williams Robertson-Davis and husband Charles of Hickory. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Sierra Anderson and Emily Williams, and Marilyn’s children, Elizabeth Luther and husband Ric, Bruce Moore and Stephen Williams.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 2:00 P.M at Summit Community Church in Morganton, with Rev. Mike Shillinglaw officiating. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Park, with military honors provided by the N.C. National Guard.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
