Jody Dion Greene

Jody Dion Greene, 55, of Morganton, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at his residence.

Jody was born August 21, 1969 in Burke County to Loyd Herbert Greene and Geraldine Wyatt Greene. He was employed at American Roller Bearing for more than 37 years and acquired many wonderful lifelong friends. Jody was a loving husband and father, always taking care of his family first and spending as much time with his wife and children as possible.

He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Howard Edney.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of thirty years, Wendy Edney Greene; children, Destiny Greene, Dakoda Greene, and Dayden Greene; brother, Todd Greene and wife Melinda; and sister, Holly Parris. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Richard Edney and wife Elizabeth, and Tony Edney (Tonya Everhart) and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held by the family.

Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory in Valdese is assisting the family.
