Judy Lenoir Keever

Judy Lenoir Keever, 85, of Morganton, passed away peacefully on Friday August 15, 2025 following a period of declining health.

Judy was born on June 20, 1940 in Burke County, to the late Lenoir Keever and Delma Bradshaw Keever. She was employed by Burke County Public Schools as a high school teacher and coach, and was the recipient of many acknowledgements during her coaching career.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Bruce Keever.

Survivors include her sisters, Joyce Abee (Guy) of Valdese, Iris Spangler (Mike) of Shelby, and Laura Peck (Tim) of Greensboro; her sister-in-law, Evelyn Keever of Morganton; also surviving are eight nieces and nephews, eleven great-nieces and nephews, and three great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Tuesday August 26, 2025 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese, with Celebrant Kathy Peters officiating. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2:00-3:30 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
