Kenneth Alan Chester, 53, of Valdese, passed away suddenly on July 21, 2026 at home.

Kenneth was born March 9, 1973 in San Diego County, California, a son of Boyd Ervin and Saundra Marie Brengman Chester. He was a hard worker and loved eighties metal. He was especially fond of Ozzy Osborne and Metallica. He had a deep love of history and received his bachelor’s degree in the subject.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents; former spouse, Kristine Baker; two children, Ryan Chester and Rylee Chester; brothers, Kevin Chester (Tanja) and Kristopher Chester; two aunts, Lou McFalls and Mary Pettijohn; uncles, Bill Brengman (Terri) and David Brengman (Rosanna); his beloved puppy, Luna; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
