Kevin Charles Murray, 64, of Connelly Springs, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 23, 2026 following a period of declining health. he will be deeply missed by his family and countless friends.  Kevin had an impact on people wherever he went.  He always made time for conversations and never knew a stranger.  He always had a positive word to say.

Kevin was born July 18, 1960 in Suffolk County, NY, a son of the late Thomas and Marguerite Nixon Murray.  Kevin loved his family nad friends.  He was very proud of his daughter and son.  His grandsons, the boys, were the light of his life.  He cherished every moment spent with them.  He had a special bond with his brothers and sisters and cherished the time they spent together.

Kevin worked for Jarred Thomas Co. for many years.  He was very dedicated and a hard working man.  He loved the company, and in return, they loved and respected him greatly.  Kevin took pride in his work and built lasting friendships along the way.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his brother, Thomas “Tommy” P. Murray, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Kelsey Fletcher (James) and Nickolas Murray; stepchildren, Scottie Murray and Shea Murray; grandchildren, Dallas Fletcher, Levi Fletcher, and Layla Fletcher; siblings, John Murray (Gini), Dorothy Bowser (Mike), Richard Murray (Tina), Marguerite Murray, and Joann Murray; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026 from 11 AM to 2 PM at 3348 48th Ave NE, Hickory, NC 28601.  

Kevin's memory will live on in the lives he touched through his kindness, laughter, and love of people.
