Kimberli Dawn Weeks, 56, of Valdese, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026 at Amorem Hospice following a period of declining health.

Kimberli was born September 28, 1969 in Burke County to the late Kenneth Daley Weeks and Freddie Hull Weeks. She earned a degree in Computer Science from UMBC and a degree in Education from Lenoir-Rhyne University before going on to serve as a technical director for Virginia Tech. A gifted artist, Kimberli won a state competition in high school, and her artwork was showcased in the United States White House. She also loved spending time in her garden, where she had a remarkable ability to grow anything.

She is survived by her brother, Ronnie Weeks and wife, Diane; half-sister, Chris Heichman and husband, Stewart; her longtime boyfriend, Larry Cox; best friend, Karen Lane; several cousins with special acknowledgments to Andy Weeks; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held by her family at a later date.

Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory in Valdese is assisting the family.
