Lenny Arthur Stuart

Lenny Arthur Stuart, 74, of Connelly Springs, passed away on October 20, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

In his younger years, Lenny had a passion for sports cars, swimming, and strategy games. He took pleasure in watching wrestling, football, and racing, and enjoyed staying up to date with the latest entertainment technology. In later years, he worked as a cashier in convenience stores, where he took pride in providing friendly service and genuinely enjoyed connecting with the people in his community.

Above all, Lenny was a devoted son, brother, father, and grandfather. His greatest legacy was the unwavering love and support he gave to his family. As a father, he made countless personal sacrifices to ensure his daughters were cared for and deeply loved. He often worked two or three jobs, dedicating long hours to provide for them.

Lenny will be remembered for his responsibility, resourcefulness, and quiet determination. He was generous and kind, always up for a spirited conversation, and he carried a deep respect for family and tradition throughout his life.

He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Stewart Cale; son-in-law, James Joshua Cale; grandchildren, Joshua Cale (Melissa), Seth Cale (Payton), Devon Gurley, and Geoffrey Swift; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Huffman and Emilee Huffman; and sisters, Agatha Stewart Smith and Jane Allman Lee (Martie). His memory will be forever cherished by all who loved him.

Lenny was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Jenny Marilyn Gurley; his father, Lenny Ralph Arthur Gray Stewart; his mother, Rena Marie Cornett Allman; and his stepfather, Joe Billy Allman.

The family will privately remember Lenny and celebrate his life at a future time. A special thank-you to the providers, nurses, and CNAs who cared for him at UNC Blue Ridge, Abernethy Laurels, and Carolina Caring.
