Linda Carswell Auten

Linda Carswell Auten, 65, of Connelly Springs passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at Carolina Rehab following a period of declining health.

Linda was born May 14, 1960 in Burke County to the late William Reece Carswell and Eva Marie Brittain Carswell. She worked in the hosiery industry, but her true passion was photography. Linda was a member of Walker’s Chapel Baptist Church and will be missed dearly by everyone.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Allen Carswell, and Dale Carswell; sister-in-law, Gayle Carswell; and brother-in-law, Ervin Cook.

She is survived by her loving husband, Charles Auten; son, Brent Auten; sister, Debbie Cook; Beth Rasion; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Walker’s Chapel Baptist Church.

Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory in Valdese is assisting the family.
