Lloyd Junior Jones

Lloyd Junior Jones, 87, of Morganton, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at home following a period of declining health.

Lloyd was born on October 8, 1938 in Burke County, a son of the late Bobby Taylor and Dorothy Beam Jones. He always enjoyed working with his hands, and he loved the peace of working out in his yard, especially mowing the grass.

In addition to his parents, Lloyd is preceded in passing by his brother, Robert Jones, and his sister, Nancy Jones Church.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Bryan Jones (Tonya Stewart); Bryan’s mother, Lois Jones; a grandson, Xavier Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a graveside service at a later date.
