Lorita Denise Jackson, 62, of Mooresboro, NC, passed away on Friday August 14, 2026, at her residence, after a brief illness.

Lorita was born May 11, 1964, in Burke County, a daughter of the late Elbert Thomas and Merita Gene Fields Jackson. She was a former member of Fellowship Baptist Church and spent many hours in the furniture and textile manufacturing industry, before retiring due to her health.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carrie McGinnis.

Those left to cherish her memory are a brother, Thomas Jackson, two sisters, Anita Jackson, Diana Hudson, a niece, Melisa Hall and a number of other nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Lorita Denise Jackson will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday August 17, 2026, in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese, with Rev. Robert Ashe officiating. Interment will follow in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Monday at Heritage Funeral Service.
