Lowell Bryan Francis

Lowell Bryan Francis, 82, of Valdese, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Amorem Hospice following a period of declining health.

Lowell was born October 2, 1943, in Mecklenburg County to the late Judson Bryan Francis and Ann L. Cochran Francis. He was a member of East Valdese Baptist Church and worked for Whirlpool until retirement. He loved Mustang cars, Duke Basketball, and Trump.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Bryan Biddlecomb; and brother-in-law, William F. “Bill” Reid.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Connie Dillon Francis; brother, Marvin Paul Francis and wife Marcia; sisters, Mary Ann Moore and husband Jim; and Eleanor Reid; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Golden Church of the Brethren Cemetery at 1758 Cane Creek Mountain Rd, Bostic, NC.

Memorials may be made to Samaritans Purse or Tunnel to Towers.
