Mabel Elizabeth Wooten Dale, 94, of Morganton, passed away peacefully at Grace Heights Health and Rehabilitation on Friday, July 4, 2025.
Mabel was born January 18, 1931, in Caldwell County, a daughter of the late Loyd Richard and Margaret Catherine Swanson Wooten. She was full of love and respect for others. Many were struck by the kindness and grace she displayed in her life. Mabel loved cooking for her friends and family, and she enjoyed crafting in her spare time. She was known for completing puzzles and her beautiful work knitting, crocheting, and tatting. She also loved to travel with her late husband, Silas. She was an active member of Asheville Street Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her husband of 67 years, Silas Aaron Dale; sisters, Linda Wooten Helton and Lucy McGuire; brothers, Ryan Wooten and Charles Wooten; and a son, Joseph Dean Dale.
Those left to cherish her memory include a son, David Dale and wife, Quita; granddaughter, Kelsey Dale, her fiancé, Rob, and Rob’s son, Tyler; daughter-in-law, Beth McClellan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 11 AM at Burke Memorial Park with Rev. Douglas Goforth officiating. Special music will be provided by Beth McClellan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Asheville Street Baptist Church in care of Pastor Douglas Goforth at 107 Colony Dr., Morganton, NC 28655.
Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory is assisting the Dale family.
