Marissa Marie Neely

Marissa Marie “Missy” Neely, 32, of Hickory passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at her residence.

Missy was born September 13, 1992 in Caldwell County to Ralph Keith Nanny and Tabatha Neely Schronce. Missy was a caring person and loved animals and traveling to the beach or to the mountains.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Thomas Paul Watson and Jo Linda Kay Watson; and an uncle, Jeffrey Thomas Neely.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by sisters, Tammy Francum and husband Michael, and Marsha Kay Glazebrook; stepfather, Jeffrey Cawthon; stepmother, Tequila Cherry; half-brothers, Dustin Nanney (Tabatha Bowman), Levi Nanney; half-sister, Hillary Southerland and husband John; and step-brother, Dylan S. Reed. Also surviving are her paternal grandparents, Ralph Phil Nanney and Carolyn Carol Nanney.

A Gathering of Friends will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM at Heritage Funeral Service.
